...Because Your Dog is Family

I'm Yolanda Cu, Sacramento Pet Photographer. You're in the right place!  Why because, I understand dogs.

Dogs has always been part of our family.  I work with families throughout Sacramento to Rancho Cordova and Northern California.

As a dog owner myself, I know that every dog is unique. I welcome dogs of all ages, breeds, and personalities, such as Shy, Hyper, Reactive and even Senior dogs.  Having loved, lived with, and photographed both senior and reactive dogs, I understand that patience, compassion, and allowing dogs to be themselves are the keys to creating meaningful photographs.

To me, dogs are never "just pets." They are family, faithful companions, and part of the stories that shape our lives. My goal is to preserve those moments with beautiful photographs that celebrate the extraordinary bond you share with your best friend.

Creating Portraits with Heart and Memories with Permanence

"Your Dog's Love, Framed Forever."
Picture walking past your living room and seeing your dog's face looking back at you - not a phone photo buried in your camera roll, but a piece of art that belongs in your home. That's what memorial wall art is meant to do; hold their presence in the space you live in every day.

OMG, my photos of our 3 dogs were amazing! Even our hyper one paid attention and she got all three together smiling at the same time. Highly recommend!

Yolanda was wonderful with her calm disposition and attention to detail. Photogra
phy is Art and I love her style - crisp lines, warm tones and a great eye for capturing the subject and background perfectly

Yolanda was so much fun to work with! My dog, Ranger, had fun too. The photos are so beautiful I had a hard time choosing.

I highly recommend Yolanda to photograph your Pet!

FAQs
"My dog is reactive/anxious around strangers or other dogs. Can you still work with us?"
Yes, absolutely! this is actually where I feel most at home. My own dog, Ocho, is a reactive Korean Jindo, so I know firsthand what it takes to work with a dog who needs more space, more patience, and a slower pace. Tell me about your dog's triggers before your session, and we will build the whole experience around what makes your dog comfortable.

"My dog won't set still is that a problem?"
Not at all. I do not force a "sit and stay" pose on any dog. Some of my favorite images come from dogs who are mid-run, mid-jump, or just being fully themselves. We will capture who your dog actually is, not a stiff portrait.
"My dog is scared of cameras or the sound of the shutter."
That is more common than you would think. I can start with a longer lens and give your dog space to get curious about the gear on their own terms. Sniffing it, hearing the shutter from a distance, earning treats along the way before I ever get close.

"My dog is a senior, and I am worried we are running out of time."
I understand this more than most. I have loved and lost three senior dogs of my own, and I know how much it matters to capture them now rather than "someday." Senior sessions move at whatever pace your dog needs, with plenty of rest breaks built in.

"Should I bring treats or toy?"
Absolutely! Bring your dog's favorite treats, toys, or squeaky sounds work best since they already know and
trust them. I will also have a few tricks and treats of my own on hand.
"What if it rains or the weather does not cooperate?"
We will reschedule at no cost. I would rather move your session than rush it because, of bad weather
or uncomfortable conditions for your dog.
"Do you only photograph dogs, or other pets too?"
Absolutely! I photograph other pets. While dogs are close to my heart, I also photograph horses, rabbits, cats, and farm animals. If they are part of your family, they are welcome in front of my camera.

"How soon will I see our photo?"
Your fully edited images will be ready to view within 15 to 21 business days of your session.
